Scott Dylla built this Ford F-250 pickup to tower over other trucks thanks to a 30-inch suspension lift and 54-inch Super Swamper tires.

Most of us at one point or another have heard the saying that everything is bigger in Texas. Well I can tell you that when it comes to 4x4 trucks, that saying is more than accurate. Texans don't like their trucks big; they like them HUGE! A good example of this means is Scott Dylla's bright red skyscraping 2000 Ford F-250 that defies what we expect to see driving on the street.

Scott and his son Ryan have always liked big lifted trucks. It must be a Texas thing because they don't seem to be alone with that desire. Ryan works at the popular All Out Offroad in Richmond. His knowledge of how to make a big truck even bigger makes dad proud. This is especially true when Scott and Ryan decided to take their 2000 Ford to the extreme.

As you can clearly see, about the only things holding this truck back from being any higher is the availability of taller tires. The giant 54x19.5x20-inch Interco Super Swamper TSL Bogger tires engulfing 20x12-inch Weld Racing Cheyenne chrome wheels are about as big as anyone would expect to see on a street driven truck, and that is precisely the point Scott and Ryan wanted to make. They wanted their truck to be as big as possible. Ryan and the guys at All Out Offroad built the 30-inch suspension lift which is largely made possible with the use of stack after stack of taller leaf springs both front and rear. A solid front axle has been fitted with numerous custom features such as a tall plate pan hard bar mount, dual chrome steering stabilizers and extended steering drag link. One of the really cool tricks of the front end which helps to make the truck ride pretty good is the Rize Industries leverage link horizontal shock system featuring Fox reservoir shocks which has been mounted to the glossy black frame with billet end links attaching the system to the axle. The rear sports a similar set up to the front with large stacks of leaf springs bringing the back end up while tubular axle trusses match the custom trac bars. Single Fox reservoir shocks attached at custom mount points on either side serve the dampening purposes. To help stop the big beast, Ryan and Scott installed Power Slot rotors on all four corners while vivid red paint accents with the gloss black finish of the springs and frame courtesy of Tanner Collision.

Along with the suspension paint work, Tanner Collision is also responsible for the red body color along with the installation of the 2005 Super Duty front end swap. Accentuating the bigger, bolder 2005 grille and headlights is a beefy Road Armor front bumper fit with PIAA lights. A matching rear bumper from Road Armor has been installed in the rear to complete the look.

Powering this giant Texas taxi is the Ford 7.3 liter diesel engine which benefits from a Magnaflow cat back exhaust along with an AEM cold air intake. The combo is just enough to give the heavy hauler some impressive pep for taking off and climbing up and over pretty much whatever the Dylla's want.

Inside the Super Duty crew cab the factory tan leather has been retained along with most of the original interior features. A set of Auto Meter gauges mounted into an A-pillar pod is clearly visible from ground level.

Whether or not the Dylla's admit what their goal was with this truck, the evidence is quite clear. They wanted big, bold and borderline obnoxious. Of course if you were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to drive this monster Ford around, it would be a safe bet you'd have a smile on your face too!
